Lygia Building

Fiction, 90 min, in progress
Directed by Nilton Resende

It’s Carnival, and the small Lygia Building is worn down by time—just like the social and familial bonds of those who live there. Adriana has a troubled relationship with her mother and arrives home drunk on the eve of her wedding. Alice struggles with deep insecurity and, during a party with friends, pretends she’s in a relationship. Tatisa takes care of her dying father, torn between pleasure and duty, as she prepares for a Carnival ball while he agonizes in the room next door. In this building, nothing is immune to decay.
